Dr John Rice is well known in South Australia and has recently completely retired from his ENT practice. PHISA approached Dr Rice about becoming "our resident ENT" to provide information for parents of hearing impaired children. Fortunately for us, he has very kindly agreed!!Due to the voluntary nature of both our organisation and Dr Rice's time, we will only address questions from parents or individuals directly involved in the care of a hearing impaired child.

To assist Dr Rice in responding to your question, please include a brief history (or background) when describing the problem/question. For example history information may include presence or absence of recurrent middle ear infections, whether the child currently has, or previously has had, grommets, meningitis, or premature birth etc.
