Quarterly newsletter (see example) with news of medical developments, personal interest items and other affiliated organisations news. Opportunity to meet with other parents in a non-threatening environment. Access to information about education, other agencies and where help is available. PHISA also have printed handbooks (eg"A Handy Guide to Hearing Impairment", and "Notes to Family and Friends". These are available on request. There are also numerous social activities, a family camp held every two years, regular OPEN committee meetings and workshops. See other pages for details.
