Subject: Cari Loder
My husband has a relatively mild form of CP MS. He was diagnosed about 5 years ago and has had it about 10 years. He is still mobile, still in full time work, but does have a permanent weakness in his left leg and suffers from lower body fatigue, particularly when it's hot.
We were given the details of the "Cari Loder" treatment some time ago by somebody who worked with her. They are as follows:
3x daily 1 x phenylanaline tablet
3x daily 1 x 70mg lofepramine (the brand name here is "Gamanil")
It is not a cure but it has had a significant effect on Chris' fatigue and clumsiness. He can walk and cycle further, faster when he is taking it and spend all day in the garden doing chores before his legs pack in. He has tried longish periods with and without the treatment and both of us are pretty confident that it makes a difference.
Otherwise we have followed, pretty much since the date of diagnosis, the Swank low fat diet.
