Yoga
I have never been much of a fitness freak, but I was feeling the effects of lack of exercise since I no longer walk ANYWHERE. A great advertisement for yoga is Michael Richards (who plays Kramer in the TV Series Seinfeld): all that physical acting doesn't spring from thin air.. So I went looking for a yoga teacher (and of course there are more varieties of yoga than breakfast cereals), a class at a suitable time. and a class in a suitable place (not a far-flung suburb and not up a flight of stairs).
It took a long time but eventually I found Albert, who is 65 but looks 45 and has the flexibility of a rubber band. He's prepared to start me off on 'floor work' (he is convinced he will make me able to stand - good luck to him.) I'm sure at the beginning he thought I would not stick it out, but I'm still hanging in there.
It's early days, and may take years for any real benefits, but I feel better already.
