A flashback to season 1972, and the beginning of an ambitious campaign to win a premiership. At the time North had never won a premiership Brownlow Medal or had the VFL leading goal-kicker. Within 3 years, North had acheived them all. This is a true-life fairy tale!
The 1975 Premiership was the first ever premiership for North Melbourne. Loyal fans had waited 50 years to win the flag. North Melbourne defeated Hawthorn, a team which was also in its 50th year of VFL.
After a drawn Grand Final against Collingwood, both teams returned for the replay. It was North Melbourne's second premiership, defeating Collingwood by 27 points.
