The linked pages contain pictures from my
travels around Australia and overseas.
The overseas pages mainly feature 3 remote countries settled by the Vikings in
the 10th century - Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands - which I visited in
1993.
To go to these pages either click on the name below or on the pictures in the
column at right.
FAROE ISLANDS
A remote group of mountainous
islands with very few trees, 300 kilometres north of Scotland.
GREENLAND
With a population of about
60,000 and
even fewer tourists each year it's a very remote place to go.
This is a country to go hiking in!
There are two pages of pictures and in summer it is a green land - in places.
ICELAND
A fascinating land of hot and cold:
volcanoes, thermal regions, glaciers, rivers and waterfalls, perhaps remote from Australia
but popular with tourists from Europe.
OTHER COUNTRIES
Pictures from Malaysia, South Africa and Turkey
AUSTRALIA
Pictures from most
states but mainly outback.
AVIATION
Airlines including a listing
of those that fly to ADELAIDE
Aircraft manufacturers
Ansett
and other related subjects.
