Owls keep the numbers of mice, rats, snakes and lizards under control. They usually fly at night and just sleep during the day. Not a lot is known about the type of nests they like, but this is one that's simple to make. Other large native birds like this box too!

SPECIAL NOTES
Face the hole slightly down if possible. Can be under the eave of a building, under the roof of an open shed or in a tree. 3 metres high is ideal.
