| The power train through the tranmission (from the input shaft at left) is coloured red. Overall ratio in this gear is about 11:1 meaning it provides useful power between 28 and 43 kph for slippery roadwork and saltpans where average speed with a reserve of lower gears is useful. Four wheel drive is automatically engaged in all low gears. There are two sliding components (shown in colour on the Overview) on the shaft between the front and rear outputshafts. These parts lock the shafts together and engage the low ratio cog set.
