| This fellow was the one that started an industry. It's the very first, pre-production unit out of the factory. The Land-Rover project was only meant as a "stop gap" to fill some floor space and keep the workers busy until the new Rover cars were to be produced. Instead, it created a new factory all of it's own! It eclipsed Rover car sales in 1951! Land-Rover is now a separate organisation from the Rover car company. |
