Orc Worship of the Wargod

The Blackrock Clan worship the Wargod, or Shakh'Buurz, also known as the Guardian. The Wargod is a mighty deity and is worshipped by Orcs, Ettins, Ogres,Trolls and the Undead. the Wargod revels in Battle, Hunting, Destruction, and Death. Loyal and powerful, magically gifted, followers of the Wargod are granted the ability to use necromantic spells.

Zar Tol Mar

Upon death, the Wargod decides whether each soul is worthy of entering the Gray Plane of the Dead (Glutia). If the soul is not worthy, then the spirit is left to wander in the world of Sosaria. Many of these rejected souls seek resurrection to again live and try again to please the Wargod. A worshipper's ultimate goal is to pass into the Gray Plane. Although no one knows what lies within the Gray Plane, the Wargod has indicated that it is a much more favorable place to exist, than on the Prime Material Plane in which we all live in.

Kon'Gar

Each time when the moons of Sosaria have both darkened, a Ceremony (called a Kon'Gar), is held and a Human sacrafice is given to the Wargod. On rare occasions, the spirit of the Wargod  appears at a Kon'Gar to provide words of instruction and wisdom.

During the Kon'Gar, a Witchdoctor or Shaman will take on the role of Kon'Gar Goth (Priest). The Goth will lead off with a prayer to the Wargod. During this prayer, no Orc may speak. Once completed, the Orcs each shout out the Wargod Prayer: “insert name here” Mal U Gimb Zagh U Zar Tol Mar. The human then slain with a dagger blessed by the Wargod, and poisoned by the orcs.

The Goth will then recite the Wargod Prayer of Sacrafice. Upon completion, the Orcs will again shout out the Wargod Prayer. One minute of silence will then be observed, until either the Goth signals for it to end. Should the Wargod appear during this silent period, no Orc is to speak until the Wargod has vanished.

The Kon'Gar's significance is that it shows the Clan's continued loyalty and worship to the Wargod, and increases each Orc's chance of entering Zar Tol Mar.
