- There have been 292 matches won by
the team scoring fewer goals (1.83% of matches). In 267 matches the winning team
kicked 1 goal fewer, in 24 matches 2 fewer goals and in 1 match
(round 13 1944), 3 fewer
goals.
- The teams winning these matches
scored a combined total of 318 fewer goals than their
opponents but 2,880 more
behinds.

- 141 of the
matches occurred before 1970 (1.97% of matches played), and 151 since
