I finally updated the site before taking a year off to build our little house. Thank you all for visiting us over the years.

We have left Broome behind and headed back to Perth. If all goes to plan for Sandy we will be back in Broome next year for a month or three. We have enjoyed our time spent here.
SAND TREES
On the way home we dropped into 80 Mile Beach and I took this photo. As the tide went out the water made these patterns in the sand. They look just like trees.

We stopped at DeGray River so that I could do a major service on the car. These cattle dropped in for a visit. I befriended the two calves but Sandy wasn't very happy when their mum decided to poke her nose in the caravan door to see what Sandy was up to. It's the first time we have seen such friendly cattle in the bush.
Now we are back in Perth where we will be here for a while. We have been on the road for 6 years now and have decided to change the way we travel. Instead of continuous travelling we will be doing shorter trips to destinations always returning to Perth between trips. This way we wont have to take the dingy when we go gold detecting (for example). Also we are planning a few trips overseas so we will be able to leave the car and van safely behind when we go. To do this we have been looking at the options and decided on a Granny Flat on the rear of Sandy's parents place in Mullaloo, Perth. We will be building this ourselves along with the help of Betty and Maurie (Sandy's parents).
Our new flat.
I will still be answering all your emails but not as quickly as before. We are currently working 6 days a week and after many years of retirement it's tiring. So keep sending emails as we love to receive them.
Best wishes from us both
Peter and Sandy.
