Annim, Seraph of Eli

..............

Tweedle is a budgerigar. But not just any budgerigar. He's the favored pet and almost constant companion to the officers of a police department in Milwaukee. Given free run of the offices and often seen accompanying the police on their beat, he's friendly, smart, and an excellent mimic; the once declining morale of the department has improved significantly - as has their case record - in the few years since the bird arrived to 'adopt' the police officers as its new family.

He is also Annim, a Seraph of Eli. Currently in service to Judgement, the Archangel Dominic visits every Sunday to hear Annim's report on the department, its cases and any suspected Infernal activities (as well as anything else that might interest Judgement). He adores his vocation, rather likes the weekly visits by Dominic, and is careful to stay within his Role.

Tweedle has a little identification tag on one leg, with the phone number of the department switchboard engraved on the silver metal ring. The tag is actually a potent little artifact, with the 'unnoticeable as artifact' and 'summonable' powers and conferring a special Judgement version of the Humanity attunement - this lets Annim pass as a mortal (ie, Tweedle) under most circumstances, to anyone except Dominic, so long as a successful Will roll is made whenever the guise is tested. Indirect observation can still give clues ("that bird just used a Song!") and like the Game attunement the guise requires a point of Essence and lasts for 24 hours.

At night, since budgerigars are supposed to sleep, Annim 'rests' in Tweedle's nest on the roof of the department building and makes talismans for the Heavenly Host; one of the feathers in Tweedle's wings is actually one of these (Dodge 6, concealed, usable by angels). While most of his talismans are small human items (rings, watches, lapel pins, etc) and go to Judgement, he is slowly growing a second feather talisman in hopes of exchanging it to Trade for a song or attunement. He hasn't yet decided for certain what he'll want in return, but the feather's still a long way from completion anyway.
