Paracombe CFS brigade is made up of 30+ volunteers, as well as other Operational Support members whom without their input many operations would not run as efficiently.
Many hours are given each year by our people to serve the community. Which we do so with the utmost integrity and respect. People from all walks of life make up our brigade; trades-people, office workers, engineers, students... All sharing one thing in common; the desire to aid the community in a time of need.
Paracombe CFS belongs to the Gumeracha Group, which is part of Region 2 (Mount Lofty Ranges and Yorke Peninsula Region). We are located on Paracombe Road, Paracombe, South Australia. Paracombe Brigade was established in 1969. Members of our brigade have been involved in many incidents, ranging from small grass or shrub fires, to the campaign fires of 2007 on Kangaroo Island and the bushfires in Victoria (2009).
If you are interested in joining the brigade, or simply want more information about what it is we do, feel free to contact us by any method listed on the contact us page.
Paracombe Station shares area borders with Hermitage, Cudlee Creek (Region 2) and Athelstone brigades (Region 1). Often, we work in conjunction with these brigades at times outside of our primary response area to assist in whatever way we can; traffic, vehicle/casualty retrieval or fire.
