PACIA.ORG.AU

Plastics and Allied Industries Association of SA INC. http://www.pacia.org.au/, the Plastics Industry is a vital part of South Australia's industrial structure. It supplies a broad range of finished proprietary products and custom manufactured goods and components to all major industry sectors. The performance of these sectors is therefore dependant, at least in part, on the performance of the plastics industry.

International competitiveness in terms of quality, productivity, design, process technology and most particularly innovation, is essential within the plastics industry to ensure its own growth and prosperity, as well as that of the end user sectors.

The South Australian Plastics Industry accounts for at least 150 firms employing approximately 8,500 people. Several companies within the industry can be recognised as truly "world competitive". The PAIA has been recognised as a major contributor to the industry within Australia, forming closer working relationships with other associations, government bodies and industry representatives, both in South Australia and interstate.

The PAIA has introduced a new area to its web site known as "Business Opportunities". Business Opportunities has been developed to provide its members with access to opportunities for tooling, moulding and design whilst providing the enquirer with professional service, quick turnaround and expertise from PAIA members.

The South Australian Government compliments the industry on this initiative and supports it as part of their ongoing commitment to taking the competitive and often unique capabilities of South Australia to the world.
