My interest in weather satelites started many years ago and I have seen many changes along the way. Noaas 9/10/11 were the main satelites when I started. Also the Russian Meteor series were active at the time. But the Russians have discontinued their weather satelite program, and we havnt seen any Meteor series for many years. Also when I started, the IBM home computer at the time was the 286 / 386 , with only Dos software available for decoding. Things have come a long way since then |
| These images were decoded
with WXTOIMG software. Antenna is a homemade DOUBLE CROSS which is similar
to the original LINDENBLAD. This antenna I have found to be the best one by far,
even without a preamp, and I have tried many. As you can see I
can receive almost to the horizon.
