In preparation for the Total Solar Eclipse that was to occur in a few days time, I took some photos of the setting Sun on the horizon. This shot was taken from Hay, a country town in NSW, famous for it's "flatness". In every direction you look, you can see a (nearly) perfectly clear horizon. I stopped just off the main highway to set up the cameras. Luckily for me, there happened to be conveniently placed distant gum trees, which, when magnified by the lens, appear to look "normal size", and making the Sun look un-naturally large.
