Single screw steamer. Built 1943 as Empire Chieftain, owned Ministry of War Transport, managed by RML. Purchased by RML 1946 for Pacific coast of North America joint service with Holland-America Line; renamed Loch Ryan. Sold 18/1/1960 to Argonaut Shipping & Trading Co, London for breaking up in Far East; renamed Fair Ryan for the voyage to breakers.

1947-1967

Single screw steamer. Built for Pacific coast of North America joint service with Holland-America Line. Sold 1967 to International Export Lines, Nassau; renamed Hongkong Observer. Sold 1968 to Singapore Malaysia Overseas Line, Singapore; name unchanged. Reportedly broken up Taiwan 1971, though did not leave Lloyd’s Register until 1974.

Single screw motorship. Built for Pacific coast of North America joint service with Holland-America Line. Sold 3/1971 to Aeakos Compania Naviera SA, Piraeus; renamed Aegis Loyal. Sold 1972 to Althamas Shipping Co, Famagusta, Cyprus; name unchanged. Broken up 1974.
