Greg Brown Adealide. 23rd December 1999

www.users.on.net/vision The Adelaide MRI Website
http://www.flemtam.com/gb.html With his "deep trademark voice that sounds as if he swallowed a distant thunderstorm," (Boulder Weekly),Greg Brown "is a master storyteller, [who] has a way of making an audience feel like they're sitting around in his kitchen waiting for a big pot of chili to boil while swapping stories and songs." He writes powerful, intimate songs, "full of unforgettable images and well-lit snapshots of the human condition"(Stereo Review)

In his live shows he takes the humor, warmth and insights of his recordings and multiplies them exponentially, as he improvises on his lyrics, music and stories like a jazzman improvises on a melody.

Two of his fourteen CDs have won indie awards. His latest disc, Slant 6 Mind -- a transcendental hillbilly beatnik jive tent meeting -- has earned Greg another collection of rave reviews.

Who Killed Greg Brown?

By Colleen Van Tassell for the Advocate

The oak paneling lining the Milford courtroom seemed to soak up Brian Moger's faint voice. He was barely audible from the back row of wooden benches. His reddish-brown hair was slicked back into a curly pony tail, his goatee neatly trimmed, his penny loafers shined. Moger spoke into the microphone, under oath, about a friend he hadn't seen in 13 years. They were next-door neighbors. They saw each other every day. In the summer they played catch. In the winter they roamed the mall. Their friendship remained constant for five years -- until one chilly November late afternoon in 1984, when Brian's best friend put his father's shotgun to his head and took his own life.

Moger took the stand in a trial that raised the question: Who is responsible for the death of a 13-year-old boy named Gregory Brown?

http://www.cyberspace-inmates.com/brwng.htm Hello my name is Greg Brown, and I'm 33 years old. And I'm a man in search for something real, the ultimate joy and satisfaction, and it can only be found in the true heart and mind of a real woman, who appreciates the finer things in life... And who is willing to accept me for who I am and not prejudge me, nor base me on a materialistic level, but instead one who is willing to recognize the qualities and potentials I possess, as you may in your heart feel the same way... Race and age are unimportant and will answer all who respond.

http://www.webcom.com/biffb/players/greg.html Coming off a terrific 1998 campaign, in which he won the team Triple Crown, Greg was forced to sit out the first half of the '99 season with a severe ailment. He was still pretty weak when he returned to the lineup in July, but it didn't take long for the greatest power hitter in AWA history to put up typical Gus-like numbers. Greg owns more club records than anyone else, including the worst reaction to undercooked chicken and career strikeouts........

Sports has long been an important part of my life. When I looked for sports books to read to my kids in the early '90s, I could not find any that delivered a personal and positive message of encouragement. I started making black & white books on my home computer for my own kids based on the local athletes in the Seattle area. I knew I was onto something when my kids stopped playing computer games to read them, and then shared them with neighborhood friends.

I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta and served as Poetry Editor for the 1997 edition of the Yalobusha Review; also, I am currently involved with the establishment of a new English Graduate Student Body.

It's purpose is primarily a way to update family and friends, so that no one needs to feel as if they are bothering us, or feel uncomfortable asking questions. This is also being written as a way to let other leukemia patients and their families, who might happen to stumble on this site

Greg Brown

Sup y'all? This is G-Brown. I'm a 6'0" freshman PG from the Mil-town. I go to Vincent and play for the Playground Warriors. PGC for life!! I started the season on JV, but averaged about 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, so they had to get me up to varsity. I played a little up there and we made it up state, but lost in the final 4 to the team who ended up winning it all. I plan on winning 3 state titles before I'm out. I put in 7 three's, ended with 26 points, AND hit the game winner after I "G-Brown'ed" this kid out his shoes (the G-Brown is Greg's patented move that has to this day NEVER been stopped. NO JOKE). Well, that's enough writing for me. Thanks. PEACE
