far away,---only joking, Hamley Bridge was a thriving railway town.
The rail gauges changed here for travellers heading North. Before
the railway bridges were built, trains were unloaded on the
Adelaide side of the Light River, and trans-shipped across the
Light River via the road bridge, and re-loaded onto the trains
