Software Development is a major passion for me. I enjoy the entire creation process that encompasses a Software Project from inception to delivering a product. I enjoy reading and furthering my skills in the areas of programming languages, design, and the tools and process used to help facilitate the construction of a project. I also enjoy working on Web Pages.
Another of my passions is music, especially Classical. I studied the violin and played with groups and orchestras for many years in the early 90's. Although, I have since quit playing seriously, I still enjoy listening to music for stimulation and relaxation.
Over the last year, I've been involved in film making where I have directed, shot and edited several short films and dabbled in special effects. I have also attended Tropfest, a short film festival held in Sydney every year and hope to place highly in the future.
I have enjoyed Astronomy since childhood. I love star gazing, and for my tenth birthday, my father bought me a telescope. From then on, I have always had an interest in Astronomy, and read articles and books whenever possible.
I like to keep fit through sports such as cycling, swimming. I competed for several years in rowing, at the Grange Surf Life Saving Club, where our team won and placed highly in several events during the 90's. I received a Bronze Medallion, and Radio Operators Certificate while at the club.
I enjoy socializing and entertaining friends. Movies of course, is one of our favorite past times, so we regularly meet up with common friends and do the dinner / movie thing.
Of course I could continue to list my hobbies and interests, but I feel that listing the books I like to read and the computer games I like to play, would just be over the top.
Hopefully, I have given everyone a small glimpse of what I enjoy doing.
