Kojointeractive
The main focus of my work within Kojo is web based. I helped develop and maintain ICE, a corporate content management system based on ASP, JavaScript, SQL and XML Technologies.
Another aspect of my work was to create new client websites that would run on top of ICE. This involved liaising with management and design staff to come up with an effective website. Each client website had a unique skin (XSL template) which defined how internet users would see the clients site.
Repatriation General Hospital
Created a Delphi application to remote control digital cameras (via Canon SDK) which captures images of patient medication charts, prints images to the internal pharmacy and updates patient history.
I have also created several other small scale Java and Delphi applications including a program to determine the effectiveness of different searching techniques in matching palliative care documents found within medical databases against hand searched sets, effectively increasing the efficiency of the validation process.
A large portion of my work involves ASP development where I have created service searching screens, error log displays and document uploading interfaces among others. I also manage uploading of content onto the external web site.
Defence Science Technology Organisation
Built upon techniques acquired from prior work and University, while acquiring new skills and working with a team in a research environment.
I assisted with the development of Land System branch’s Concept Demonstrator by developing a server in Java which used the RMI mechanism to connect clients to the server. I also developed code to control CRUD (create, retrieve, update, delete) procedures against an Oracle database.
One of the requirements for my position with the DSTO was to successfully obtain a secret level security clearance.
Autom-8
Worked on creating a web publishing and content management tool that allowed clients to update their web site using a web browser from anywhere worldwide. Most development revolved around ASP, HTML and SQL.
SAGE Automation
Worked on several projects for some of the major clients of SAGE which included SOUTHCORP Wines and the Port Augusta Power Station.
I gained strong Object Oriented Programming and Design skills while implementing many design patterns throughout our projects.
