Scouts Shouts 2009 - Audition Information

Hi Gang!

Welcome back to another season of Scouts Shouts. Please read this information carefully as our process for joining cast has changed.

You'll be pleased to know that both the first and the second half of the show are ready to go- all we need now is a cast (and that's where you come into it)! We've decided to save some trees and not put up posters in every scout hall this year. Instead we're going to use you and your mouth, and your home computer. We'd like you to spread the word to your friends in Scouting and Guiding that Scouts Shouts Auditions are on so start emailing, facebooking, or "what ever it is that you do"- ing. So here is the info:

1st Salisbury Scout Hall, Orange Ave,
Sunday April 26th, 4-6pm

All registered Joeys, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders (under the age of 26) are invited to attend.
Scouts Shouts will accept Joeys however they must have a parent attending each rehearsal with them (including the camp and weekend rehearsal).

To register for auditions you MUST either download, complete and post the application form to:
PO Box 447, Salisbury 5108

Download Application form to post (right click 'save as' to save to your PC)

Or you can complete the editable PDF version and click on submit to send it to us electronically.

Download Editable PDF (requires Acrobat 8 or higher)

Either way the forms need to reach us by Monday April 13th!

If you have any problems with these forms please email Steve.

The purpose of Scouts Shouts auditions is not to find out if you are "good enough" to join our show; we accept all registered members. Auditions just help us find the part that is right for you. Previous cast members need to remember that auditions are a chance to show us how you have improved from last year's auditions and just how much you want those singing/ dancing/ acting parts!

Parents are requested to attend an Information Session during Auditions. Tea, Coffee and Afternoon tea will be provided.

At auditions there will also be a sign up sheet for people to help with this year's Medieval Fair which will be on 2nd and 3rd of May. Last year we worked selling tickets at the gate and this was a major fundraiser for Scouts Shouts and was also great fun. We would love for you and your parents to volunteer for either the Saturday or the (Sunday or both). Volunteering gets you free entry into the Fair, food and drink at the Volunteer's Tent and freedom to wander around when you are not on duty, plus a payment to Scout Shouts for the hours that you work. More information will be available at auditions but please put the date on your calendar.

Don't forget this year you MUST complete and return your form 2 weeks before auditions, NOT AT AUDITIONS!

We look forward to seeing you there!
