TREATMENT
Primary Care at GATS is specifically
designed as a comprehensive program treating mind, body and
spirit. The intensive treatment is 12-step based and enhanced
by a unique and comprehensive program created by Robert Mittiga,
and based on the most successful treatment modalities in the
addiction field.
A multi-disorder facility, GATS
serves individuals seeking treatment for recovery from toxic
and abusive living.
Aftercare assistance, and on-site educational - reaffirmation
workshops support the recognition that recovery is a continuing
journey. |
| Treatment at
GATS is personalised to meet individual needs. A multidisciplinary
team of specialist addiction and family therapists along with
consulting psychiatrists, psychologists and other professional
counsellors work cooperatively and consistently with total
dedication in the best interests of each patient. Consulting
medical services provide initial care and continuing support.
Many other programs treat only the symptoms of addiction.
By focusing on the roots of individual patient disorders,
GATS’ staff, identify and address the core patterns
that have caused continual return to self destructive behaviours.
Aftercare, the vital factor in the continuing success of recovery,
begins with admission and is interwoven throughout treatment
to provide a supportive transition to the home environment.
Recovery is a path that many of the staff personally walk.
Their understanding and respect for each patient's pain and
despair comes from their own intimate experience with the
addictions and abuses used to numb reality.
A goal-oriented schedule is customized around each patient's
personal progress in recovery. Therapy options include work
with a primary counsellor, small group sessions, spirituality
counselling, lectures, educational videos, recreational and
art therapy, nutrition counselling and community meetings.
Peer support and interaction are integral parts of The GATS’
healing process.
If you or someone in your family would like to free yourself
from the pain of the past and move forward to a more enriching
life, you are invited to contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. Intake Coordinators will discuss your preadmission
concerns and answer your questions. All calls are confidential.
