I have been working in the glass and arts industry for 25 years. For the last 12 years I have run my own studio with attached gallery in the Adelaide Hills.

My belief has always been that there is a demand for quality, well designed products that are functional, affordable and aesthetically pleasing. To this end I have focused on producing a range of kiln formed glassware, one-off exhibition pieces, and architectural work. I have participated in many local and interstate trade fairs and exhibitions, and traveled interstate and overseas pursuing market opportunities. I have also developed a flexible approach to my product range to accommodate different market needs while still retaining an individual and recognizable style.

I have incorporated a number of different techniques in my work, but currently I am working with screen-printing both high and low fire enamels on glass. This process has been refined through the combination of contemporary digital media techniques where drawings and images are scanned into a computer, modified or enhanced and then turned into a film positive. The film is then applied to screens of varying mesh ratings ready for printing on glass. This gives me the opportunity to get sharp images onto the glass consistently, from very fine text and other fine graphical details, through to coarse screen half tones and a wide variety if other effects. The recent advances in technology have also made it possible for me to use these techniques on large laminated kiln-worked panels that comply with Australian safety standards.

Most of the items I produce are functional, and designed to be used, not to collect dust.
