Welcome to the 2008 - 2009 Ski Season
as at Thursday, 27 November 2008 07:38 PM
For the information of all Tabitha and Peter Winnell have resigned from the committee. The committee thanks them for their years of service and dedication to our club. They have been at the core of the running and maintaining this fine club. Thank you for your time and efforts over the years.
On Sat 6th December the 3rd Round of the State Wakeboard Championships will be held at the Club site.
The Open Division will be filmed for Wakelife TV
There will have a prize purse that will be confirmed closer to the day & you will be riding for the Perpetual "Wakelife Open" Trophy currently held by Chris O'Shea.
Entries for the open division will close on Friday 28th November.
There will be no late entries available after this date.
If you wish to enter click on the link below and it will take you to the Entry Form.
Also remember that after the event we will have a Xmas BBQ for the NWSC members. Come along and say hello to the committtee.
This Saturday the 22nd November is the first club day of the season. Please come along and enjoy your site. Starts at 8am. The course will be in for those that wish to try it. There is the chance to get some coaching or we can take others downstream to wake board or ski without the course. The BBQ has been rebuilt so bring along your meat and enjoy the day.
On the 6th December the club site will be hosting the State Championships for Wakeboarding. The club is running a BBQ to raise funds on the day. Anyone wishing to help please contact the committee. Those that wish to attend the site during the day or after the events and want to stay afterwards, the club members will be having a Christmas BBQ dinner at the site. This is open to all members. Please come along.
Club Update - Air Chair (brand name of SKY SKI) is missing. We need to know if anyone has taken the Air Chair from the site over the last week. The Air Chair was seen at the site on Sunday October 26th and was locked in the back section of the container. On Saturday the 1st November the clubs container was found open and the lock for the container door was missing. The air chair was also missing from the back section. However the back section was still locked. No other items of value were taken.
IF it has been stolen (we are still hopeful that a club member has taken it over the long weekend) then please keep an eye out for the air chair on the river or anywhere else (Ebay, Trading post). Our clubs name was imprinted on it in a number of locations. So if you see a chair have a look at it for grind marks where they may have removed our club name.
To add to our issues... the old keys from last years membership currently open this years locks. To rectify this on Sunday the 9th November the locks will again be changed. You will need to then contact Tony to obtain the new keys. He will have them at the working bee. Sorry for the inconvenience but the lock smith has made the error and we now have to rectify it.
Working Bee - Just a gentle reminder that the working bee is on the 9th of November...please attend and help out your club! If coming all that you need to bring is shovels and whipper snipper's.
Well the membership & AGM day was held at Woodstock on Sunday the 12th October. We saw a good turn out of members and boats. The committee for season 2008-2009 was elected. I can not call them a new committee as most such as myself are familiar old faces. I will update the committee pages soon with new pictures and ensure contact details are correct.
Welcome to the Nagambie Water Ski Club's web site. The Nagambie Water Ski Club was formed late in 1980 and has a home site along the Goulburn River just upstream from the Nagambie township. The club is primarily a family, social orientated ski club. Since that time the club has maintained the highest standards of behaviour and safety whilst encouraging the sport within the Nagambie area.
While the Goulburn River is the clubs major boating venue we must be aware that the river is not solely for our use. The club site is however for members only.
With this web site it is hoped that we can keep the members informed as to the state of the club and provide all information that they may require. I encourage you to express your suggestions and opinions for improvement on design & content. You will see a Trading Post page & Photo Gallery. If you wish to place any items on these pages please just email myself and I will get them included as soon as I can.
