A fairy went a-marketing
That was the first line in a poem I loved a long time ago. Now I'm thinking about joining a market myself. I have the Springwood Ivy Markets in mind.
If music be the food of love...
... then bring it to the altar of love and life. Here is an idea - a weekly booklet of seasonal music for a holy hour. Could be children's music with guitar chords, gregorian chant, polyphony, pilgrimage songs, traditional hymns - latin and english. A few pieces to get a family through an hour's bumpy meditation plus a decade of the rosary. Posted online as pdf plus some sort of audio file. Over a year would become a resource to be culled and collated into something more polished.
This idea grows from my book - A New Book of Old Hymns. That was written with a program called OpusTeX. It was clunky and temperamental and is no longer maintained. Next I would like to use Gregorio and Lilypond.
