Welcome to Treehugger; a celebration of Australian tropical ecology.
The "treehugger" project began in late 2002 with the self-imposed aim of revegetating and rehabilitating twenty three acres of bushland in tropical north Australia.
This site reflects the knowledge and experience gained during this challenging and rewarding process; a process which still continues. We hope our modest achievements will assist those attempting the same or inspire others to do something positive to help keep this planet beautiful and bountiful for the future.
So get your wellies on and...
We are now beginning to see definite and positive change as soils recover, weeds retreat and native trees, shrubs and grasses reclaim their land.
