What does Scouting do for you?

Below is a short list of skills you may get from your time in Scouting.
There are longer lists but you can think of your own.

You might be able to:

In a Scouting situation

Tie knots

Put up tents

Read a map

Sing campfire Songs

 

At home:

Cook good food

Do First aid on you or your family

Be self reliant

Have a sense of fun

Be able to plan a menu

Navigate a car driver or yourself

Continue hobbies started as a Scout

Make friends more easily

 

In Work

Work with other people in a team

Lead other people in a team

Be able to plan your work

Communicate with others

Address large meetings

Write reports

Be trustworthy

Be a works first aider (maybe get paid more!)

Have a sense of fun

Have a sense of adventure

Have confidence

Be able to plan

These are a few skills, some are obvious, some sound silly, but they are all developed in the Scouts and will help you in later life
