Venturers are the older section to scouts and are aged from 14 to 18 years old. We meet once a week and have a hell of a lot of fun.
Our unit usually meets on a Friday night but occasionally we meet during the week or go away camping or hiking for the weekend. Some of the things we've done include shooting at the rifle range, going to the Bolivar Sewerage Works, taking crazy photos in the city and visiting RAAF Edinburgh.
We also have adult leaders that make sure we don't get into too much trouble and end up down the cop shop.
Venturers - being the older section up from scouts - have an award scheme. Every Venturer gets the basic award the 'Venturing Skills' and some then progress to earn their 'Queen Scout' the most recognized award in the movement.
