Righty-ho. The blurb for these guys is going to be an even bigger lot of bollocks than usual but
I think they can be held partly to blame for that. King Brothers, since forming in 1997 have
undergone a few line-up changes and their music has been genre-shattering and ever-changing which
hasn't protected them from attacks by the invisible pigeonholing council.
I've read them described as "noise" music but I'm pretty sure I heard Keizo yelling at us that they're
not a noise band, they're rock 'n' roll. In an interview with Patrick Emery they declare themselves
"hardcore blues". People mostly rave about how incredible they are live - dangerous,
demented, destructive divas -
but I have a heap of their stuff on my ipod too and it rarely gets skipped.
The line-up seems to have stabilized to Keizo (Vox, Guitar), Marya (Guitar, Screaming), Shinnosuke (Bass) and Taichi (Drums Power). That's the bunch I've seen and that feature in the photos below, anyway.
The king size EP "Kill Your Idol" (VICL-63954) came out in July this year.
