Advertising
After establishing myself as an illustrator in the Australian comicbook revival during the nineties, I was probably best known for my work in publishing - particularly comicbook art, cartoons and caricatures - which I had primarily freelanced in magazines and comics. However I was able to readily adapt such skills for the advertising industry.
As a freelancer I have been an outsource for many advertising firms and production houses in Adelaide and Melbourne, such as Popcorn, Leap, Leo Robertson Burnett, Young & Rubicam, Limelight Marketing, and KWP Worldwide - doing concept art, storyboarding and presentation visuals. I also have done some finished art for Clemengers in Sydney, and promotional art and storyboarding for clients in Japan and Greece.
My most recent advertising commissions have been for the Leap agency in Melbourne, doing concept visuals for a campaign proposal for Rinnai heaters, and for Popcorn, here in Adelaide, doing finished art for the "G'day Mate" capmpaign. Previously, other notable projects include the Workcover campaign “The Body Corporate”, Mitsubishi televison commercials, and the gladiator image for the 2004 Clipsal 500 V8 Supercar race event. I also really enjoyed being a concept artist and storyboarder for the famous Anifex studio in Adelaide, on animated television commercials for the Straits Times in Singapore.
