	Greg Brown Series Creator "Positively For Kids" Sports has long been an important part of my life. When I looked for sports books to read to my kids in the early '90s, I could not find any that delivered a personal and positive message of encouragement. I started making black & white books on my home computer for my own kids based on the local athletes in the Seattle area. 	I am an instructor of English and a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Mississippi. I hold a B.A. from U.S.A.O., a liberal arts college in Chickasha, Oklahoma, and I also hold an M.A. in poetry from UM. Due to my educational background, I am intensely interested in everything. I believe that all academic disciplines hold a great deal in common, and I try to find and teach this inter-relatedness of learning. I am a member of Sigma Tau Delta and served as Poetry Editor for the 1997 edition of the Yalobusha Review; also, I am currently involved with the establishment of a new English Graduate Student Body.
	The following journal is being written by the mother of 14 year old Gregory , who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia in March 1999. It's purpose is primarily a way to update family and friends, so that no one needs to feel as if they are bothering us, or feel uncomfortable asking questions. I am enrolled in the pre-seminary program with plans to major in communication. I have a heavy interest in information technology, and I enjoy a good laugh as often as possible. 	Greg Brown Sup y'all? This is G-Brown. I'm a 6'0" freshman PG from the Mil-town. I go to Vincent and play for the Playground Warriors. PGC for life!! I started the season on JV, but averaged about 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists, so they had to get me up to varsity. I played a little up there and we made it up state, but lost in the final 4 to the team who ended up winning it all. I plan on winning 3 state titles before I'm out. I put in 7 three's, ended with 26 points, AND hit the game winner after I "G-Brown'ed" this kid out his shoes (the G-Brown is Greg's patented move that has to this day NEVER been stopped. NO JOKE).
