Resources for Students of MRI

Refresh the page each day you use it, I add new resources fairly often during a semester. I have added the Google Search Engine to help find more material from the Web without having to jump from page to page.

• Make sure you visit PAGE 2 of the Adelaide MRI Website That's where you find links to papers on hardware, DICOM, protocols etc.
• Look thoroughly through the links of the Adelaide MRI Website, I won't commonly be double listing those resources here.
• Refresh and revisit pages regularly MRI pages are updated frequently so 2 weeks is a long time.
• Distinguish between professional and commercial information.   As Frank Zappa taught his children about TV...ask yourself who is this person and who paid them to say that.
• Remember the web is a real world publishing domain.  Copying material from web sites verbatim or without proper citation is plagiarism.  At the RMIT and most Universities,  the penalty for plagiarism is death, (or at least a FAIL.)  It is also very disrespectful to the original author (radiography is a small profession, and MRI is a small well connected world...we will find you and extract revenge), and most importantly you don't learn anything by plagiarism.  Believe it or not, learning is the primary purpose of your course work.

RF Shielding

• RFI Industries The largets Australian supplier of MR room shields.  Follow their links to hospital shielding.
• Lindgren RF  A Website on RF shielding and MRI room shielding.  Keep in mind that this is commercial material and records the services of one company.  It is a great site though.  Don't bombard the site owners with questions.  They are in the business of selling RF shields, not education.  Read carefully and you will learn enough.
