All I want for Christmas

19 November 2003 (Derek)- Cambodia: peaceful, awesome, fun. Singapore: some relatives are so pushy about meeting up that it's easy to not feel selfish about using them for transport. Malaysia: Land where everything half-works, and there is no toilet paper. More later, anyway. Returned home to find the lawn turning into my own African veld. Returned to work to find things turned topsy-turvy. Aah, it puts me in the Christmas spirit; the knowledge that everyone at work will be gone.

Due to the success of my Birthday list - thanks for the pyjama bottoms and the (ahem) dance - here's my Christmas gift registry:

  1. Board shorts - ones with the drawstring so I don't have to depend on the elastic.
  2. A food processor - all the better to process food with, my dear.
  3. Canned fish - I just can't get enough.
  4. Corn chips - ditto.
  5. Durian - Some wack playa-hataz, been dissin da king of fruitz, sayin' it be smellier than crack ho' crack. True dat. But all y'all have to do is ship it to me, and I'll take care of bidness. Know what I'm sayin'? Word.
  6. Interstella 5555 - from ezydvd.com.au. Forget the Animatrix. This has music by Daft Punk, and animation by Leiji ("Star Blazers", "Battle of the Planets") Matsumoto. Heaven rated G.
  7. Knackwurst - For the sausage that beats all sausages, they're surprisingly hard to find. I get them from Standom Smallgoods in the Adelaide Central Markets.

Now you tell Santa what you want. Come on, up on the lap. Don't be shy.
