Classroom Activities.

1/ KidPix

Draw a Christmas tree using symmetry to complete the design.

1/ Draw a centre line
2/ Draw tree shape on the left side of the page
3/ Copy the right side to get symmetry
4. Decorate with stamps maintaining symmetry with the stamps.
I use this opportunity to show the "Dropper" to match the colour, and the way to edit pictures, in this case turn them around.

What songs, stories and movies have been created about the birth of Jesus, about Father Christmas, or Christmas. Brainstorm.
Group these and put them into suitable headings.
Choose a group and use Inspiration to make a mind map.

For the following orange activities**, [2 - 6] go to Santa's Secret Village

3/ Go to Santa's Secret Village	Mouse over the buildings. Choose stories to read. Decide as a class which picture to print out and colour in.

4/ Mrs Claus' Kitchen Find a recipe that doesn't need cooking on the stove. Can you find one in each section? Print out a recipe to make in class or to take home and try with mum.	5/ Reindeer Barn Drag mouse over picture of barn to find stories. Take a good look at all the elements of the barn. Draw your own picture of the Reindeer Barn including reindeer, sleigh, elves and Santa.

6/ Elves Clubhouse Look at the information about each of the elves. Draw the elves in order of size - check their height. Who is the heaviest elf? Who looks after Bud? What is Sally's favourite food? What is Will's special skill? Is the oldest elf also the tallest?	Drawings: Tallest is_____________ Heaviest is___________ _______Looks after Bud. Favourite Food______ Will's Skill is________ Yes / No

7/ Complete the following:

7.1 Young Elf Exam:	You will be asked ten simple questions about Christmas. If you pass this exam then you will get a Young Elf Diploma.

7.2 Find the Differences:	You will have to find 15 differences between two similar images.

7.3 Maze:	Help Santa find his sleigh. Print out the maze.

7.4 Connect the Dots	1/ Christmas things Realchristmastrees 2/ 4 Dot to Dots that when completed, make tree decorations. Sunniebunniezz Easy! 3/ Edhelper 4/ Easy Ones without numbers/letters

8/ Make a Christmas Card with KidPix or make a Christmas Card with Publisher.

9/ Choose a Christmas Scavenger Hunt to complete.
