ON A PC USING "WINDOWS" AND "WORD".

1.        Open Microsoft Word

2.      Make sure the Drawing Tools menu bar is open (if not go to the View menu, go to toolbars and select ‘drawing’)  

3.      To construct a 3D shape draw a square, using the Drawing tools  ‘rectangle’ tool.

4.      Double click on the square and select ‘size’ from the pop up menu. Set the size at 4cm x 4cm

5.      Select the Square, click on the ‘3D’ tools  icon from the drawing tools palette, it looks like this:-

6.      Select a 3D shape.

7.      Click on 3D Settings at the bottom of the box.  Select a depth of 36 points, then select a depth of infinity.  What happens?

8.      Click on the other buttons at the bottom of this dialogue box and experiment with perspective and parallel representations, with different lighting effects, textures and colours.

9.      Once you are happy with your 3D shape rotate your shape in space using the arrow keys on the 3-D setting menu.

10.  Construct a rectangular prism, a cylinder, a cone, a rectangular pyramid, a cube, and an irregular 3D shape.  Label, and colour  your shapes.  Use the rotate arrows to choose the best orientation for your shape.

11.    Name your shapes page and add your own name.
