Context: History is littered with wonderful examples of ideas (inventions and processes) that were ahead of their time.

In many cases the innovators of these ideas died in abject poverty, or were ridiculed throughout their lives.

Years or generations later their ideas were 'reinvented' by others and these people made astounding amounts of money from 'their' inventions. These ideas were acceptable in their time.

However, these ideas (and their acceptance by the populace) would not have happened WITHOUT the genius which had preceded them.

In every aspect of Human endeavor examples can be found of people ahead of their time who "failed".

When motorcars were first invented they were considered dangerous because it was thought that drastic things would happen to the Human body if Human Beings moved to fast.

You can imagine the debate that went on about the first airplane.

When Columbus sailed off to discover America it was believed that the Earth was flat, and that he'd sail off the edge of the world and be devoured by demons and monsters.

The theoretical principles for the creation of the modern day computer were developed hundreds of years ago.  However, the mechanical components were unavailable to construct a working model.

Yes... Ideas Can Change the World!

Mark Twain once said (when asked the secret to wealth)...
"Find out where the people are going first (in their thinking), get there just ahead of them, and sell them what they want".
 
So... what on earth does this piece of Human history have to do with Internet Marketing and researching the net?
