This is how it works and how you can use it to leverage your own Internet business. This idea works irrespective of what web business you're running. It's a staple of doing any business.

First

You need your own product and/ or list or popular blog.

Next

You need a group of webmasters who will JV with you.

Now that should be easy enough because there are millions of websites on the Internet with webmasters just waiting for you to approach them about your Joint Venture, correct? WRONG!

First you need to develop a relationship with these people. Why?  Well, if you can remember your first date you didn't get to kiss the girl or guy until you had formed a relationship with them.  There are exceptions to this statement, but we won't go there with this report. Relationship FIRST before kiss (or JV).

How To Develop JV relationships

Frequent quality forums, post regularly, add value to the conversation, and be generous with your knowledge.

Look for people with a quality site who are in the early stages of building their online businesses.  Develop relationships with them to form future (profitable) JV relationships. 

Use ZEUS to build your reciprocal links directory (which will dramatically increase traffic to your web site anyway) and in the process you'll also get to establish professional relationships with key webmasters working within your web site's theme.

Attend Internet marketing seminars (not just for the knowledge) but also for the Joint Venturing opportunities that are always present at these seminars.

Subscribe to quality ezines/ blogs, and if the Editor of the ezine/ blog writes something that you like tell them.  We're all human and like that our efforts are appreciated. Usually after a few email exchanges you'll identify the 'tone' of the person.

When a cordial business relationship has been established then and only then can you approach webmasters (with whom you've established this relationship) and propose your JV deal.  

Ensure that the proposal creates a WIN/ WIN for both parties involved.  If you're the new kid on the block and you don't have much of a list you'll have to give away more than you get in the first instance. Be professional in your approach.
