About Stage 1
Heading from Central, the route starts just east of Seven Hills station. At Blacktown, the Richmond line
branches out the full distance to Richmond, while the western line extends only as far as 1km west of Blacktown.
Activities
SydWest includes a number of passenger service activies which are based on real-life CityRail timetables
on this corridor. Check the Trains page for info about the consists required by these Activities.
Innovations
SydWest uses Colin Cribb's NSW 2-Head signals for authenticity. I have experimented with creative use of sound
objects, customization of train departing annoucements, night-time lighting effects. The route is geographically accurate to within about 50m and terrained using the same tools as
used by Mike Simpson for his Blue Mountains route.
