Adelaide Oval
I went to the cricket yesterday at the Adelaide Oval and it was HOT! (and I'm talking temperature here). It was 42.1 degrees celsius (thats 108 farenheit) at 4:34 pm yesterday (in the shade mind you, I shudder to think what it was where we were in the sun) which is WAY too hot to be sitting out in the sun all afternoon. Considering that we paid for the second most expensive seats on the ground I was less than impressed to be sitting in the sun. Nonetheless a good time was had by all at the ground, no doubt due to the amount of beer consumed by the crowd on the hill behind us. All I can say to the guys in the pink dresses and shirts : you are either foolish or brave but in any case seeing you get pelted with plastic drink bottles not once but 4 times was one of the highlights of the afternoon. This will tell you something about the quality of the cricket yesterday. Oh well, I guess there is always next year. |
