Days of Blunder
Just got back from princess CB's house where myself and the royal court consumed a huge amount of food in an indoor picnic because we couldn't be bothered to go to the park. Afterwards we somehow ended up watching Days of Thunder because we couldn't decide on anything else. Now don't get me wrong, I have fond memories of this movie. Somehow the mists of time have dimmed my recollection. When that happens it is best to let it be and not to revisit your recollections with more maturity and perspective. The plot, the acting, the dialog, the MUSIC puhleeze!!!! (as Queen S would say). Life is like that sometimes. We heark back to an earlier time when we remember things as being good. Sometimes they were, sometimes we have selectively forgotten the bad and boring bits. What we don't realize is that we have moved on and those earlier times are gone for good. Sometimes the memories just have to suffice and we need to move on to today's experiences. |
