Blakes 7!
Wow I'm so excited. I got home last night and in the letterbox was one of those little red & white cards, you know, the ones Australia Post leaves when they can't fit something in your letterbox. This could only mean one thing... So what if it was made in 1978, so what if the sets sometimes look lower budget than Doctor Who, so what if the whole thing was recorded in mono, Blake's 7 is Awesome. I was so excited that I had to open up the package and watch the first episode before going over to Princess CB's house for death by dessert (which made me late, but not by much). What I was impressed by was the quality of the menus. The Liberator flies through serenely, Servalan turns arrogantly in her chair, very nice. It was also good to see all the scenes they deleted from the first episode when they produced the compilation video which was all I managed to buy before they discontinued them. Mmmm, many more hours of entertainment to look forward to. |
