iTunes
On Wednesday I decided that I need an MP3 player/recorder to allow me to record MP3's of choir parts to learn at home and of course to carry my music collection around (all recorded off CD's I own in case you were wondering). In looking at these and also looking for a way tio buy certain trance tracks I've been looking for legally I went to the Apple iTunes website to see what it could offer me. Unfortunately they won't sell songs to evil backward Australians who are all software pirates as opposed to law abiding American citizens :-( but I did download a really cool piece of software to let me organize and play my MP3's. I've been looking for something like this for a while, something that lets me categorize my MP3's, OGG's WAV's etc and also lets me keep ratings on each one. The browser allows me to select songs sliced and diced different ways and even to set volume level changes and mixer presets for each song. The CD ripping function works really well too and it even begins playing the tracks after the forst track completes copying, a nice touch. I don't think I'm going to buy an iPod but iTunes is a nice piece of software. I just wish I could figure out what MP3 player I will buy. |
