Vulnerability

One of the real difficulties of writing this blog is figuring out how vulnerable I'm going to be. I know for sure that there are people I know well that are going to read what I write and even some people from my work will read this occasionally so I don't want to be too open because some things are best only shared with close friends. I am also very careful about identifying particular people or people who have caused me to think about particular issues. This gets really hard when I write something about the way that I am and I then interact with that person in exactly that way, sometimes they take it as being directed at them when in actual fact the blog posting was never connected with the person.

On the other hand I like to share with you, my readers, the passion and expressiveness that lurks within me. The creative drive that moves me to express what is going on inside and to share some of this daily walk with Jesus that makes my life so rich and fulfilled. Sometimes, through sin and the pressures of life, I suppress that essence of me and subsume it in the pedestrian unimaginative plodding routine that infects the everyday and constrains my world, eyes downcast, to the small circle of earth just in front of my feet. Sooner or later though it bubbles up from deep within and moves me to express the nature that the almighty has created within me to serve Him with everything I have.

Don't be fooled by my exterior, that is what I am and who I am striving to be.
