Haiku Projects

This page hosts a few BeOS/Haiku related projects which I've worked on during the last decade. Most of these projects are currently suspended, patiently waiting for the day when Haiku arrives to rescue us from the dreariness that exists in todays Operating System landscape.

What's this? Leaf
Leaf is a lightweight modular document editing application for the Haiku OS. Leaf is designed to be a container for multiple document frames, where each frame can also be a container for multiple embedded frames. Once Leaf is complete, a user will be able to embed charts and diagrams into table cells.
Leaf.zip
ZenShow.zip Zen Image Viewer
This image viewer shows thumbnails of images spread across multiple directories, which helps to find a specific image in a hierarchy of directories. The slide-show mode allows viewing of all images in recursive subdirectories. The program uses fluid zoom animations, which works really well for viewing slideshows.
MediaPlayer.zip Media Player
An experimental media player. The player can play back all files for which a BeOS media codec exists. The player has several zoom and speed controls, which work exceptionally well for moview with heavy action scenes. And since this is Haiku, multiple media source are playable at the same time.
